Okay, okay, it doesn’t count if it is stuffed and behind glass at the Smithsonian.

We have our home back!! It was two weeks living in the Navy Lodge in VB and then in Bethesda MD. For a while we didn’t know if we had to find something for longer when we got the call from the RV dealership that they needed to order an entire slide topper. Luckily it came in and got installed and the body work got done and we picked it up on time. Kean was starting to get a little cranky. 😉 We were lucky to be able to stay in the Lodges because they have a tiny kitchen and you can do laundry plus they have breakfast like most hotels. It was definitely livable for a couple of weeks.

The Navy Lodge at Bethesda was a good place to hang out for a week. The Metro station was right across the street from the gate so it was a short walk in order to get on the train to DC. We spent a couple of days doing two of the Smithsonian museums and walking around that neck of the woods. I was questioning myself whether or not to go into town due to the terrorist threats but decided that you can’t live in fear.

Now we are in Gettysburg PA and will be here until Tuesday morning. From here we head to Thanksgiving on the Jersey shore with family. Yeah!!

I do have to say that I am ready to head south though. It is 44 degrees out right now in the middle of the afternoon. This box we live in isn’t well insulated so it is chilly. There is a freeze warning tonight so the water hose gets disconnected and we live off the water in the tank until it warms up enough tomorrow to put it back out. Can’t have a frozen hose and frozen pipes. Ahh, the things that we have to consider in our new home.

So not sure when the next post will be. From New Jersey we make the move west. Lots of moving days so I’ll do my best to keep you posted on our progress. Check the map if you want to know where we are as I am keeping that up-to-date.

Happy Thanksgiving to all and safe travels to those traveling.
