Signs for moose everywhere up here but we have not seen any and I am so disappointed. In fact, wildlife is almost nonexistent. Hiking last week, I saw 1 squirrel and 2 birds. What’s up with that? For the past two weeks we have been in the country and you would think there would be plenty of life out there in the woods. If they are out there they are sure not coming out to see me. We did see this sign though that I thought was adorable and just have to share. Take a look….DSC02029 I want to camp out there beside the road and wait for those little guys to walk across.

This week is a much different week from last. We are more inland and the weather is hot! Of course the Maine folks are having their hottest days this week, just when we wanted to play golf. We played Monday morning on the course that is part of the campground we are currently staying in. We walked from the motorhome pushing our clubs to the course. How cool is that! But again, this is not flat land and the hot 18 holes was a bear (not literally because I haven’t seen one of those either.)

The highlight of the week was golf up at Sugarloaf Mountain. It is the #1 course in Maine and it is absolutely beautiful. It was ugly golf on a great course but what the heck. I stopped keeping score after the 3rd hole and it started to be fun instead of total frustration. Let’s just say that I got my money’s worth on that course.

Well it was a good week. No moose sightings but we got in 3 rounds of golf and did some day trips to check out the area. Today is our 26th Anniversary and it is moving day. We are leaving Palmyra ME and heading to the Freeport area. We will be nearer the coast again and in more civilization so have booked a reservation for a nice dinner in Yarmouth.

See you next week.

I am so glad you are enjoying the posts Karyn. So few people are commenting on anything that I was afraid I was boring everyone. I am trying to get Kean to post but not having much luck. I will keep trying. It would be nice to hear get his point of view.

I am loving your posts….enjoying your journey, and photos. I don’t know too many couples who could do what you two are doing. But, if any two can…you can. It’s all about the journey…and making incredible memories.
Thank you for keeping us updated.

Cheers!
