I bet there are some out there that thought – How are they going to live in that small space?  Well this week I am devoting the post to our new lifestyle and what it looks like.

We have done the usual things this week.  We have played a couple of rounds of golf, we have hiked in the State Park down the road, and we have seen the sights. Normally we travel on Sunday but this time we are staying 11 days so we won’t be moving along until Thursday. Now I know you don’t want to see photos of every golf course we’ve played (except maybe our golf pals – Roland & Chris) so let me show you what everyday life looks like now.  The photo above shows Kean making his pancakes.  Since I am gluten-free I don’t get to sample his creation but I am sure they are delicious.  We normally cook our own breakfast & lunch and do our best to stay out of the other’s way.  Although we cooked dinner together in the past, I am doing most of the dinner cooking now.  Dinners have gotten, shall I say “less gourmet” and much simpler just because of space.  I do have to say that the only thing I really miss is my kitchen.  Oh well, I will live and adapt.

Other than my big ole kitchen with it’s 4 burner AGA, our life is pretty much the same as it has been.  Here are some photos of what it looks like……..

The last one of me cleaning the floor is what happens when you don’t open the refrigerator door slowly after you have been on the road. Believe me, I won’t make that mistake again. In fact, we have bought small tension curtain rods to solve that problem. Live and learn.

As you can see, we have adapted to our surroundings. Our home site might change every week or so but we have gotten into a groove. Yesterday was our “give each other space” day. Kean went out on a group bike ride while I got my hair cut and had a nice lunch in downtown Freeport. Then Kean went to get the Jeep washed while I worked on this posting. We rarely fight and I am pleased to say there have been no spats.

So for you naysayers out there that thought there was no way we could downsize this small, I just want you to know that not only is it possible, it is actually very freeing.

Life is good!
