Good thing I have a good sense of humor. This was what was said the last couple of days of golf this week.
Our golf pals, Roland Smith and Chris Burton from Virginia Beach, drove down for the week and a lot of golf was played. For me, 6 days in a row is the most I have ever played. I did start out the week playing pretty well but my game seemed to fall apart towards the end. It could be because every muscle was screaming at me when I tried to swing. What the heck, we had a great time and the weather was absolutely perfect. The week started a little chilly but no rain. Roland and Chris even played another 9 or 18 holes after we all played almost every day. I don’t know how they do it.
The South Carolina courses and the North Carolina courses we played were beautiful. Take a look:
One thing you do have to look out for around here are the alligators. Don’t hit the ball into or near the water unless you wanted to be lunch.
It was a great week. Fun on the course and a few good dinners out and even one in the motorhome. That slow cooker sure comes in handy. I was even able to share my birthday with our friends. Thanks Roland and Chris for coming down!
