Sorry it’s been so long but we have been busy. We arrived in Indio CA on December 21st to our home for a month. We are staying at the Motorcoach Country Club and it is as wonderful as it sounds. It is a community of lots owned by individuals that can either leave them undeveloped or develop them with all sorts of amenities. Some of the owners rent out their lots when they are away and that is what we have right now – a rented lot. It is one of the developed ones that is nicely done with plantings, outdoor kitchen and seating, and a casita that just has a bathroom and some storage space. Here is what is looks like.
The resort is amazingly beautiful. There are waterfront lots and golf course lots in addition to the privacy lots like we currently have. There is an 18 hole par 3 golf course in the center which is a challenge because most of the holes are over water. (I went through a ton of balls out there!) There is a huge putting green near the beautiful clubhouse and a couple of pools. Check it all out.
What do you think? Tough spending a month here, right?
Family time has been the theme this month and it has been marvelous to be able to spend an extended amount of time with them. Since we have been on the east coast our family time usually consisted of short stints throughout the years.
Of course we have gotten in a few rounds of golf. The weather is great and the scenery is to die for, especially when you are golfing right up next to a mountain. You don’t see that in Virginia Beach.
And of course, I had to feed the local road runner. I don’t think I was the first because the little guy came right up to me.
And check out the coots. Strange looking birds and they are as messy on the course as the geese we were used to seeing.
So now you are up to date on the Westcott’s. We leave here on Monday so see you on down the road.
California is beautiful and the weather is great. It is just sooooo expensive. Not sure how people can afford to live out here. We are enjoying our time though. Miss you guys!
So glad to see your post! We’ve been wondering how you’ve been. NOW you see why I loved CA! Your place there looks beautiful. Keep up the posts. xoxo-Renee & Bobby
